good points, but I really don't think he's gonna be president anyway. Swindling and cheating is a huge thing in the Philippines and we all know how easy it is to change the votes with a simple call. It also just so happens that this guy might not really be all that interested in being the new president, and it shows through his currently lackluster campaign and the way he presents himself, which is unmotivated.

Even then, we have this little law that makes "inciting to sedition" a crime.

In practice right now, it is being charged against people who say things that the Philippine government doesn't want to hear or people to hear. If Duterte becomes President, there's a chance that he'll just bypass the law and silence people who do speak out against the government.

It doesn't help that one of the popular Vice-Presidential Candidates is Bongbong Marcos, the son of Ferdinand Marcos, and he's trumpeting the legacy of his father as a campaign platform.

I actually know someone who is the mother of a dead criminal in Davao. Duterte has a system, do it once, get jailed. Get out of jail and do it again, die.

This woman wasn't angry at Duterte, she's grieved her son but she knew why he died. He was a convicted criminal, and he already has his chance and wasted it. I've known 3 people from Davao and absolutely none of them have complaints against their mayor, as he's kept their city safe and he's very effective on what he does. He kills drug pushers, rapers, and any other kind of people who has done some terrible crime, he doesn't kill every criminal instantly. He gives people second chances, and it's their fault if they waste that.

They're afraid to be the the next victims, of course.

Anti-rabies ridden child-eating wild dog death squads are promising if you ask me.

See you can put these phrases together.

    At least he is honest.

That is more you can say about other politicians.

That's what they said about Maguindanao too.

Well, Duterte also said this: "If Congress threatens me with impeachment, I will close it down."

He also said, "It’s going to be a dictatorship. It’s the police and the military who will be the backbone. If they agree with you – if the right-thinking policemen and military men agree with you – then after 6 years, there will be a new set-up: maybe a federal type, less corruption, and a fresh air for the next generation.”
