I agree I kinda dumped apples into oranges (because I didn't want to make this post any longer, but really wanted to discuss both a bit).

Art isn't identical to journalism, but it's clashing bits here and there with photography. Art for art's sake can't be good journalism; it's planned by the artist. I just don't like how a picture of a dead child can make one an 'artist' while real artists' works are regarded as 'bah'.

Nonetheless, modern art - especially some of those body art/art through behaviour - verge quite near sensationalism.

I just want to point out that this was the World Press Photo Exhibition, and that photojournalism is more well, journalism, than art for art's sake. That's kind of where I have a minor issue with the comparison with old art, really, since old woodcuts for broadsheets even at the dawn of printing were...sensational

Yes, I do know of that angry site. Thanks for that, DP.

I simply needed to get the melancholia out of my system on that day. No harm done.

Heaven. The far distant utopia - and by some traditions, merely a dream, an illusion held by humanity to believe there is something better, something grander, that as we keep looking towrs that orgiastic green light, boats against the current, we will one day be free.

I suppose I know the unlikeliness of carving out a slice of peace, that day follows day with no end in sight for weary body or haggrid mind.

And yet there are still things I look forward to, people who bring comfort in the darkness, and a destination towards which I walk, because the ideal is beautiful, and if one eternally waits, eternally chases...

Maybe one will find what one long sought, if not quite when or where.

That's pretty much how Shirou felt I believe, but with more killing and betrayal.

Pretty much agreed. I've always wanted to add blogs/CMS, but while I could get people to pony up to upgrade the license (my license was old and of limited use), I couldn't find much interest in funding the blogs/CMS.

So I funded that myself. Tobias put up $75 and Kotonoha put up $100 to do the board upgrade, and I paid $100 now to add the CMS and blog.

On another note, there's stuff like mobile apps for Android and such... but since I don't have one of those newfangled phones (or even a cell phone at all - a stunner, I'm sure) people will have to pony up if they want the mobile suite.
