There's no runners in this area. If you got the shivs, you can kill every clicker while the bloater is asleep. After you do that, you can just molotov the bloater as they are weak to fire it seems. It died just from that for me, but I know that's not completely consistent. You have the flamethrower by that point, so you can just toast it again if it survives.

I don't have a ps3 so I guess I'll just have to keep playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. like a chump.

Haha, I didn't even get to the University yet. This was the part in the sewers (afterwards, you see the sign with "Infected Inside"). But 6 clickers AND a bloater? My god @__@

Shiv Master is the skill you mention, but it takes 75 pills.

Man, I am LOVING this game. Really hits everything I wanted out of a post-apocalyptic opus.

Bought the game before you. It's really fun although I have a feeling this is going to be like a horror movie where EVERYONE dies. It's too grim to have a happy ending (at least from the atmosphere I've experienced). Here's a tip though: sometimes Elli will give you ammo and medkits (I believe this is to make things fair if you're about to head into a heavy fight and you're low on... everything). Do NOT assume this will always happen like I did. (See below)

Also, fuck clickers. Evidently, there's a way to shiv them and stop their instant death aura with a leveled up skill, but I haven't gotten it yet. There's one section where you fight (I kid you not):

C = Clicker
R = Runner

(2C+4R) + (3C + 4R) minimum, continuously over 30 seconds, in an area a little bit bigger than a living room and an L shape hall. This was after fighting 8 stalkers. (like Runners but they roam the area you're in by... running or hiding behind corners and waiting to face bashing you if they've been alerted to you) I couldn't tell how many specifically because I was scared witless and raging. Needless to say, there was a lot of "reload faster!" and "O FFS" on my end due to close quarters and clickers. Fuck clickers.

I think I used 3 nail nades, a molotov, my melee nail stick, emptied both of what remained of my pistols and 1 more nail nade I made in the middle of combat. Didn't use my Rifle or long-gun shotgun because I used all of that in a fight before the 8 Stalkers.

I think I have a bullet in my rifle left...


There is one more thing that's annoying:

Weapon sway and lack of close quarter pistol weapon use. I know you'll be inaccurate because you're scared and tired, but I always figured pumping 3 bullets into a person less than 10m away would be easier... I know, it's for gameplay reasons, but Its annoying. Maybe it's because I've gotten used to Isaac Clarke's steady aim.

Love this game.

Got the game too. Unfortunately, I don't have much time to play it.

Had my eyes on it since a long time and expect it to be enjoyable.

I'll have to start watching an LP of this.

Naughty Dog is best gaming company. They've been showing us this since 1996 (yes I do know that they existed before then).

It possibly could be a case where the standoff "holes" are actually met by little protrusions and there is a place where only a single one is screwed down?

That would be unusual as hell though.

The Motherboard didn't even come with them (it came with 2 SATA wires, the standard SLI connector and IO shield) this single one comes from my case itself, I'm guessing this was a mistake in the packaging and I was supposed to get anywhere form 8 to 10 of them, I just laughed more than anything else since this suckers are cheap as hell. Just gonna see if I can find some locally or I'm gonna have to order some online and wait a couple of days.

Well things came my way, and so the funds I wanted to use had to some of it to go somewhere, so I won't be seeing my new build until a while later, I'm really hoping by the end of this year I can.

Niiiiiice. Just recently built my second PC. So satisfying. Running an i5 3570, but only have a GTX 650.
