With the new Unlimited Blade Works anime now properly aired, it strikes me just how far I've come as part of the fandom.

Back in late 2009, early 2010, when I first watched the animes for various Type-MOON franchises because I was a total noob who didn't know how to access the visual novels until well later, I was just a neophyte. Prior to that I had only a glancing experience with Melty Blood as I trawled the net for off-kilter fighting game concepts. I was drawn in by the Tsukihime ...

It boggles my mind that I made it through with honors, but I guess I really can get my act together for when it counts.

For the record, yes, this is why I've been mostly AWOL and a lurker for the past few months.

...and boy are my arms tired!

Literally. I have post-adrenaline fatigue right now. I'm not even kidding.

That said, I'm glad I was able to participate in it. Come what may, I feel like I at least accomplished something that I can feel proud of, even if the judges and readers rip it several new assholes once it gets publically released because I had no beta and was working until last minute because college offered no leeway of any sort for me to work on it regularly ...

So according to the young gun of a bonesaw I have, I'm now ready to eat sustenance that doesn't need to be drunken through a straw or put through the blender umpteen times until it's ready to be consumed. Things're looking up!
