I went up to Manchester and said hi to Strife (in his new home) and Bridge, who was chilling out and graduating and stuff. We even saw a church and an old library, too! It was cool getting to see Strife again, and meeting Bridge for the first time; we all went to an Italian restaurant, and Bridge and I just talked history and BL shit for a while. Good stuff.

EXiku and I are here for a week for a friend's wedding, and while we're going to be pretty busy, we're trying to see what we can see of the big city, like the proper tourists we are.

Already I introduced EXiku to the deliciousness of Philly cheese steak, and she's had the unique North American experience with street evangelists, and we also had some White Castle. All this is just from a bit of walking and bussing around ...

Back in February, EXiku and I departed on a secret, dangerous, and possibly deadly mission, out in the field. We were to meet with the man himself, the Grand Vizier of Merchandise, the Don of the Type-Museum, the infamous and insatiable Strife212. It was a dark day, one that we could never prepare ourselves for.

Since internet is crap here so I have to pone phost, no daily blog updates until next week. Howevers, I can note that I successfully made it to Turkey with EXiku, and we have gotten past people trying to sell us rugs, and also a secret research area. Also, there are cats. So many cats.

One week from today (April 5th/6th) I will be travelling away on an aeroplane to the distant, geographically confused land of Turkey. Of course, I won't be the only one going there: I'll be joined by my wonderful girlfriend, EXiku - this will be the first time we actually meet in-person!

We'll be spending most of our time in the city of Istanbul itself, though we've got plans to go around and see nearby places like Ephesus, Pergamum and Gallipoli. About a week will be spent in the ex-Ottoman ...
