What a week - kill me now . . .

By this time next week, if things go according to plan, I will be somewhere in Toronto, attending Fan Expo - my first attempt to go for all four days, ever.

. . . So, naturally, everything picks this week to go to hell.

Between covering extra shifts at work, my workouts, futzing around with my laptop (having to install a new OS and replace the battery, when I've never done either before), and finding that I've made a major mistake in "Reign of Winter," I haven't really had time or energy to write - and to top it all off, I'm coming down with something.

In short, it's been a miserable week, with no signs of improvement - sorry.

At least your Dad didn't die just before your birthday. You didn't have to run the proceedings the rest of the week with the pneumonia that killed him while trying to keep Mom going, with her having the same pneumonia.

Please. There's always someone who has it worse. Take a step back before you say things "went to hell."

Sorry to hear it. For whatever it's worth, you have my condolences.

Look on the bright side, you're not dead.
