Thanks for the responses everyone, and especially you Ms. Seika. I gutted a few chunks (like the tobacco connection. It appears nowhere else in the paper, thus should be removed), and I reworked my thesis to better suit my paper. I really didn't look over it too much from that initial version. I finished it, posted it here and went to bed. I've done a few readovers on the beginning, and I think I've changed it for the better. What do you think of it now?

Well folks, the time has come. I'm going to do one last fanfic. And it's not based off of anything by Type-Moon.

Yeah, those two plot bunnies I teased about? The "Rider and Waver re-enact retro 60s Batman hijinx" and "Fate/Extra, but with modern fictional heroes and villains as Servants" concepts? Those are dead. I'm never doing them. Shed a tear, my dear readers.

But I know some of you might like the last fanfic I do! And you wanna know what's crazy? ...

As of tomorrow, I'll be giving limited shifts a try, so depending on how that goes, my actual writing schedule could be equally limited. If nothing else, I'm going to be on my feet for a length of time I haven't tried yet, in footgear that I'm still getting (re-)used to. So at the moment, things stand as:

So, yep. The piece I said I'd do for Neir has been hijacked completely by doing a full-blown story. Arihiko, Satsuki, Ayako, Shinji, and Issei all end up thrown together by happenstance and have to survive basically what Hot Wheels says about what he did to the hotel in Zero. With pluck, courage, pile drivers, misplaced ego, manly tears, and dumb luck. Went Left, Mind Flayers. A reference to an inside joke I have with my friends and a particular part of Baldur's Gate II.
