    So, in starting to write Shared Resonance, I sort of decided to begin things near the end of the story and then use subsequent chapters to tell "how we got here." Whenever I'm writing, I always find myself fighting with linear narrative conventions because starting a story in a linear fashion is oftentimes boring and predictable. So then I watch something like KnK, or Haruhi, or Baccano! and always enjoy how they mess around with that. Obviously, not everything is gonna work out that ...

  2. Rejected Concept: Magus Killer meets Metal Gear?!

    I recall a past blog entry that was extremely short and spoke on vague similarities that I had noticed between Kiritsugu Emiya and his life experiences (killing his father, and then killing his mentor figure, a dude who shot bees out of his mouth, bitchin' guns) and certain events behind the Metal Gear series of stories.     Yeah, I like that title for my post. And it's pretty good in depicting the current situation in my life.

    Let me proceed with that saying, "When butterfly flaps its wing, on the other side of the world hurricane starts." I guess, the actual phrase is different, but I don't feel like googling it. Not worth it. And I saved the actual thought so it's not like I needed the help of Google.

  5. YES: A look at what went wrong and its ramifications

    Earlier in the year I made a blog entry about my most anticipated match of the year, Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus at Wrestlemania 28. I talked all about what happened the year before, how disappointed I had become with the WWE over it, and how it was so clear that they were going to set things right and give these two fantastic wrestlers a chance to wow the crowd at home and in the arena. Then it happened. The bell rang, Sheamus kicked Daniel Bryan in the face, and it was over. In 18 seconds.
