So, in starting to write Shared Resonance, I sort of decided to begin things near the end of the story and then use subsequent chapters to tell "how we got here." Whenever I'm writing, I always find myself fighting with linear narrative conventions because starting a story in a linear fashion is oftentimes boring and predictable.
