The Geek

Wow. I hadn't even realized how long I've been away from BL, but I guess here I am once again. I stopped coming here as often after Grand Order came out because all of the forum discussion suddenly became about that and I wasn't particularly interested in it, and my attention was more fixed on getting ready for the release of Fire Emblem Fates.

I've also had a lot of real life stuff going on preventing me from coming here, but now I've gotten to a point where I have a lot more free ...

And that's why I was gone this past week. It was a 7 day cruise starting in Seattle and going up the Canadian coast. I'm not a picture taking kind of guy, so I'll just leave some synopses of each individual day.

Sunday: Departure

Had to get up at 6:30 to make our way up to Seattle. We boarded the boat around noon and by 4:00 we were off. Spent most of the day on deck looking at the water, didn't see much. That night's entertainment was a preview of the entertainment ...

Which is why I haven't been hanging around here as much. Okay, there also hasn't been much going on, but meh.

So I joined the Fire Emblem forum Serenes Forest. And to my amusement/horror I found out that they have a Mike.

My cat was put down today, shortly after having officially turned 13 years old. She apparently had far more significant health problems than we had thought, though we had noted that she was very skinny (only 6lbs/2.7kg) and that she had become much more vocal, so this came as quite a shock.

RIP, Ginger. Evil mastermind, aspiring overlord, and well-loved aloof pet.

I'm done with high school, and I even managed to round out my career with the best grades I ever had in high school (straight A's both semesters, something I hadn't managed since middle school). I just have to go through the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, and I'm completely done.





And then college happens.
