    This week was not my week. Monday's shooting, Tuesday's stupidity, Wednesday's calmness, Thursday's distractedness and today's tiredness. Wednesday was the best day tho. All day of playing Tales of Graces f instead of going to work/school so I could relax. As I have said mental health > everything else.

    So, today I finally settled in to read the Mahoyo trial. And I'm already in love with Aoko's chest with the vibe from it. Once again, I just adore all things Type Moon for the odd mix of mundane and magical that comes out as a very humanizing experience...

    And then Soujurou doing his flash-step gardening was about as awesome a thing I've ever seen in a visual novel.

  4. The Suicide of Julius Caesar

    After doing quite a lot of reading, I've come to the conclusion that the assassination of Julius Caesar may have, in fact, been a strategic suicide on Caesar's part, a reversal of the plot of Cassius Longinus and Junius Brutus. I believe that Caesar intended this suicide after some contemplation as a pragmatic method of creating an empire or ensuring lasting political power in Rome.

    I'll write up a full pseudo-essay later on, possibly tomorrow.

    Let me start by saying that Nasuverse is a very complex setting to work with. It is full of background and interesting minutiae, the sort of world-building stuff I enjoy trying to piece together and make sense of in my spare time, so I can nerd-rage about inconsistencies and nonsensical elements until my heart is content.
