I started to answer Spinach's question in the comments, but my response ended up being so big I decided to make it another full entry:
Well, to tell you the truth, being banned was certainly a part of it, but I was unbanned, so it isn't the main part. The problem is the way Mike brought me back. He is an incredibly insincere person. Getting an apology from him is like squeezing blood from a stone. When he finally does apologize, there is always some sort of qualifier or excuse he shoehorns in to make it seem like he's not at fault for anything. That's basically Mike's MO. Never taking responsibility for anything. The world is out to get him and it's not his fault. He probably doesn't even understand why I'm saying what I'm saying now. More than likely he just thinks "another one of my friends turned on me, why are my friends so mean to me!?"
No, the main reason I've left DSM is because of how unwelcome they've made me feel (Revy not so much included). I don't really care so much that I was de-modded. I certainly didn't sign up there because I was on an internet power trip or anything like that. If Mike had demodded me because he just didn't like my style or didn't think I was good at keeping the peace, fine. But instead there is this looming subtext over me as long as I'm there. "I don't want you to be a mod any more" because I think you're CV.
It just strikes me as so incredibly unfair, given how nice I've been to Mike in the past, how long I've stood by him, even when the majority of the people here wanted him gone. He forgets why I joined DSM in the first place, because I wanted to help him, because I believed in him. None of that matters any more though, because he thinks I'm CV. This level of paranoia is practically cliche, I've seen it in a dozen generic "insane" characters in movies or games. It's like a joke almost, except it isn't funny. To Mike, it's as if CV is some supernatural entity that has orchestrated every single misfortune that has befallen him.
Well, he's not. He's just a man. Mike probably won't believe this, but no one is that good. He's just a troll with a lot of free time. I mean, I see that he has an operation leveled against Mike now, but that forum isn't very old so it can't go back nearly as far as Mike acts like it does. I remember back when the forum was new CV made a jerk move where he pretended to be me for like a week. Okay, I can sort of see the humor in that because he wasn't really trying to act like me. For a while, there was a strange harmony with Mike and CV existing together, and while they didn't get along like best friends, it was a lot better than things are now. It is my belief that Crying Vegeta's ramped up efforts are a direct reaction to Mike's own irrational, inconsistant and detrimental behavior. But you know, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe CV is just in love with Mike or something.
For their own good, I think CV should get a life, I think Mike should grow up, and I think Revy should get out.
