Sha Nagba Imuru - The All Knowing, All Powerful Star

Rate this Entry
Right, this is my first blog post here, and just to let people know, I intend to use this just to present theories or facts that aren't worth noting on the site itself. Anyway, I've decided to start with an easy one, Gilgamesh.

For those who don't know, Sha Nagba Imuru is a Noble Phantasm held by Child-Gil in a card game section of Hollow Ataraxia. Checking the translation "Sha Nagba Imuru" literally translates to "He who saw the deep". Which is a good reference to its effect (Apparently it lets him look at his opponent's deck) But, this is where it gets fun. Sha Nagba Imuru is the opening line to the Epic of Gilgamesh. In this way, the all knowing and all powerful star may be a direct reference to Gilgamesh himself and the fact that it is only possessed by his younger form connects to it being at the start of the book, not later on. While in essence a Phantasm of little importance, a trivial note at best, these direct connections to Gilgamesh and his origins point toward it being another Phantasm that is solely his, as opposed to the masses of weapons that do not signify him personally.

Well, that's all for now, and having discovered the emotes, expect me to be capping off these blogs with little Nasus from now on.
