being the peace loving yet pragmatic lesbian (you arent allowed to pick a male courier unless you make him gay and flirt with arcade) i am how can i fight for anyone but the ncr? independent is too much responsibility for me and i wont live forever. house has a stick up his ass and wants to kill my lesbian gf's family (they're jerks though to be fair, but i cant allow veronica to get sad), and i dont like his mustache, but he's second choice though. the legion is out of the question of course. they're two of my least favorite kinds of people in the entire world 1: bad cosplayers and 2: misogynists (in that order). also vulpes sounds like a complete ass. i like stealth killing all his friends and dogs and then 1v1 him with a machete to prove my female superiority. it's hard but worth it. also you arent playing fnv properly until you stabbed caesar with a knife all over
and there's just something great about the ncr npcs. whenever colonel moore sneers at me with that harsh voice of hers and belittles me for being too much of a pacifist wuss it feels like a dream came true for me. please insult me more. also there's something nice in killing those 3 raider junkies and listening to the nice black man tell you how awesome you are for killing them. it gives me a sense of accomplishment. not to mention i finally get a nice father figure telling me i did well (screw you dad). the fact that he is a black man only makes it better
the sniper team is also great and engaging. i like that the aggressive butch lesbian hits on me. sadly i cant respond to it with cherchez la femme, because i am faithful to my gf veronica. i pick the perk for aestethic value only anyhow, i cant possibly flirt with other girls when i have my veronica. its bad enough when i have to push her on the side for a while to do the other companion quests to get my golden ending. but i always wait until i do rex's quest first so i can send both of them to the lucky 38 together. s-so at least veronica will have a nice dog to pet while she waits for me. ;__;
okay, okay, so the whole taxing thing the ncr has going on is pretty bad, but arent flaws what makes someone perfect? what do you mean that doesnt make any sense? well whatever, they have their bad parts bu they're still my nr 1 choice. i love being praised. no, no, wait, the greatest side quest in the game is to retrieve the corpse of some woman's husband and then have some ncr soldiers being horrified that you would do something like this. and i can respond with "i made a promise". I LOVE PLAYING AN ALTRUISTIC SAINT i get so happy i could cry it always makes me sad to do the obligatory evil walkthrough after it
but i guess playing a fem courier and doing the legion quests is cool in its own way. although it only makes sense if you pretend your courier is either 1: completely insane, 2: as dumb as a rock, 3: utterly evil and so arrogant that she thinks she's above 'regular' women (which i am, but im above literally everyone so its okay). i would write a fanfic about this if i didnt suck at writing anything longer than 6,000 words
i think what comes closest to a happy ending for everyone is siding with the ncr and obsessively doing quests in just the right way. it's hard but i think i pulled it off once without looking at guides or anything. i nearly got it right the first time, but i didnt think of asking the followers of the apocalypse to help the ncr before the battle so the ncr kicked them out (wtf ncr???). so basically the ncr ending is the best ending in my eyes if you go out of your way to show them what being a saint is like.
