I mean I don't play it and I don't even keep up with what's going on with it at all, but whenever I go around the forums a lot of times I see people calling GO trash and just generally hating on it. Is the game really that bad?

I am the 30%
1) It killed my Activity Stream when it first came out. People pretend that New Posts is a good enough substitute, but it isn't. 2) The GO General Discussion thread is full of some of the most brainless and repetitive posts I've seen on these forums. This inspires me to the heights of mild dislike.

If I wanted to see the threads that have new posts in them, I would open up the sub-forums and look. I want to know who said stuff and what they started saying, which lets me quickly know if I ought to care or not. And, believe me, this went well back before I was a mod.
It's about what you'd expect for a mobage. Not as in-depth as a shipgirls or swordboys, still addictive enough that you can get obsessed over catching 'em all. It has a lot of neat lore things though.
I dislike mobile games designed to milk hundreds/thousands out of you on an inherent level and I don't like being reminded that they are popular
I think it's funny that people put so much time and effort to something they can't read in order to have an image you can download any time be registered as owned by you on a baent server in Japan.
draining healthbars relaxes me
I blame BL. I wasn't as into PAD as I am into GO. It's mainly because there's a community here leading each other on, supporting each other, offering information, bragging etc. Sometimes I actually feel like spending money. That never happened in PAD for me. So I blame BL for people fanaticism. Seriously, these are social games for a reason. It's the social and peer pressure that makes them dangerous. Also I remember like a year ago on the go thread people were like "no one on BL is going to play this except for 3 people" or something. Ironic.

IIRC, swordboys and shipgirls use the same gameplay system

unlike GO Shakira's mobage has no AP restriction. We should all be playing that instead.
A Shakira mobage sounds kind of boring, I mean there'd be no fighting
just because there is zero violence doesn't mean there's zero fun.
it's a microtransaction-ridden, soulless cash-in for phones of course it's terrible the fact that it's Fate and people are actually playing it makes it even more terrible the fact that we got this instead of Tsukihime 2 or something decent makes it unforgivable
lets be honest, even if GO wasn't here, we weren't gonna get tsukihime 2 or something decent. The money would have gone to a Takeuchi all Saber illustration booklet
