Elf's Random Musings

That's a Wrap

Rate this Entry
So today I posted the epilogue of The Stolen, the first Law Unto Herself Chronicle.

This story has been almost three years in the making, and sadly I didn't get to work on it as much as I wanted to last year. Honestly, this should have been finished months ago, but 2015 was rough. Road and I had to suddenly move, I had to re-home my very large dog (she's doing great btw), and my grandfather passed away all within a two month span of each other.

That being said, I'm glad it's finished. It was fun and rewarding as hell to write, and I've made a good chunk of money off it already. Let me tell you, fanfic is a lot easier than original fiction.

The story is urban fantasy, and features a vampire who's a bit too good for her own good and can't leave things alone fighting the forces of evil. It's like if Buffy the Vampire Slayer and an 80's action movie had a bastard love child, it would be The Law Unto Herself Chronicles. I also poke fun at the genre, Forest has a little rant about all of these people in TV shows staking vampires by stabbing them with a piece of wood, which should be impossible unless you have super strength.

For those who have been reading it thank you, and thanks to Road and SINIB for your help proof reading it.

And now in 6 months (Jukepop has exclusive rights after it's finished for 6 months) I can go looking for a publisher. Fuck me.

    Congratulations, Elf

It's quite an accomplishment. People talk about their screenplay or their novel all the time, but so few actually follow through with it. And not only did it, but it was wonderfully fun. Feels like an Angel spinoff half the time.

Best of luck in six months

I hope you let us know when you get it published, I'd be happy to own a copy.
