How unusual

Today I just got slapped in the face.

The story I had consigned to oblivion years ago; the piece of writing I loathe more than any other; my first work ever… has just gotten favorited. I need to keep it online as a point of reference as leaving it published on ff.net is regrettably the most secure place to store it, a fact that frustrates me beyond explanation. Please don't ask.

I still need it as a point of reference for a new story I'm writing, though it's so far on the backburner that it's actually getting cold. But that first piece. The Legend if Zelda: Heroes of Time was meant to die! I wrote DISCONTINUED right in the title! It's so bad, that favoriting it should cause severe physical discomfort! It's part of the 95% worth of contemptible filth that is the majority of fanfiction, and I haven't touched it in so long, that you would have to search for it for hours even if you knew what kind if story you were looking for! How did this idiot manage to enjoy the blasted thing? It sickens me!

I take solace in the fact that the remake is occasionally enjoyed. If not for the similar title, it would be impossible to tell that they were the same story at their point of origin. I know it's far better than the disaster that I made it from. So why did someone prefer a story with rampantly OOC behaviour attributed in part to a pathetically useless character I made up. Sure the remake has no action, but it isn't the imbecilic ravings of a hormonally crazed sixteen-year-old.

I need a break from this madness.

Seems like writing Fate fics is a more cutthroat business than I thought though. If anyone is available as a beta-reader, I'd appreciate the help.
