How unusual

Summer 2016 Anime Tangent.

Please don't kill me for quoting something fairly old, in context of the thread it came from at least. Anyway, this quickly turns into complete and total nonsense. Enjoy. Or don't. Depends on whether you like nonsense, I guess.

Seconded. Like, word for word. Whatever your reason for it, in my case, it's masochism because I stopped believing that the manga would ever be completed years ago.

I remember the day perfectly. It was around lunchtime, and I had the idea of putting corned beef and honey into a peanut butter sandwich, something that I thought was stupid but necessary at the time, but was actually a kind of dumb so spectacularly pathetic that the English language doesn't have a word for it, and which I will never do ever again for the rest of my life. I took a bite out of it, wished I had only died, exhausted my family's supply of milk, set fire to my unholy creation, and as I was struggling to stay conscious, it hit me: D.Gray Man will be completed one day. And on that day, I will not be able to leave my house, because a stampede of unicorns will no doubt pass through my neighbourhood on that day.

Believing that the story will eventually reach its conclusion is sort of like believing in God… no, actually, that's not right at all, since you can't prove God doesn't exist; a better example would be believing in the Loch Ness Monster: You can hope and wish something lurks deep beneath that murky loch, but it has been definitively proven that there is nothing down there.

That story is deader than Lancer. What's going on now is sort of like media necromancy.

That's one I never got into (past the odd chapter published in "Shonen Jump," anyway), but if it's anything like Naruto ending up being, then I completely understand.

Not at all like Naruro. While Naruto is like The Song That Never Ends, D.Gray Man just sort of… stopped… partway through. Production ground to a halt, as the artist has health issues, and worse, has lost most of her interest in the story.

Mm - even worse, then, because the people who've been making money on it will try to keep it going any way they can; and I've yet to see strangers take over somebody's work and significantly improve upon it, where manga and anime are generally concerned.

What about the Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 Anime?
