Seconded. Like, word for word. Whatever your reason for it, in my case, it's masochism because I stopped believing that the manga would ever be completed years ago.

I remember the day perfectly. It was around lunchtime, and I had the idea of putting corned beef and honey into a peanut butter sandwich,something that I thought was stupid but necessary at the time, but was actually a kind of dumb so spectacularly pathetic that the English language doesn't have a word for it, and which I will never do ever again for the rest of my life. And on that day, I will not be able to leave my house, because a stampede of unicorns will no doubt pass through my neighbourhood on that day.

Believing that the story will eventually reach its conclusion is sort of like believing in God… no, actually, that's not right at all, since you can't prove God doesn't exist; a better example would be believing in the Loch Ness Monster: You can hope and wish something lurks deep beneath that murky loch, but it has been definitively proven that there is nothing down there.

That story is deader than Lancer. What's going on now is sort of like media necromancy.
