There are good ideas, and bad ideas.
A very nice (and self-explanatory) example of a bad idea is a site-wide prank that somehow deletes thread subscriptions.

    Not everyone lost their subscriptions, though, so you did something that made the system unhappy.

    Trying to check them while in Cat Hell as a means of escape, perhaps?
