No, you were three-dayed because your behavior in that thread was vicious and you blatantly told a user to go fuck himself. The vulgarity in and of itself didn't cause the ban - the action of flaming another user did. It's the same thing that got Frantic a warning here.

To make it clear: We don't care about cursing. Really. We're all adults here (at least physically... or very hardened teenagers) and I think we can take a few F-bombs. But when it transcends to deploying those F-bombs onto a user, that's flaming and that's a whole different ballgame.

Sounds great! How about that gets reflected in the warn reasons too? One shouldn't need to ask for clarification (for a given value of "ask" ¬¬) to get a non-bullshit reason.

Again, I can't speak for Altima on that, and warns are generally usually handed out at admin discretion.

The warning was never about swearing. Vulgarity can mean other things other than swearing. And if I warned people for that, Mike would be gone long ago. Although you swear even more than he does Frantic, by a lot, and that says something, not that I'll penalize you for that.

It was about not listening to people who already asked for peace in the thread, kinda like how the Into the Fire thread is going now.
If I ask you to stop, that is pretty much my final word, same goes for Mike, who I punish like anyone else. Next time, I will outline exactly what I mean when I give out the warning.

Well, you DO have to realize that not specifying your reasons for warning can have those results, especially when you know there's a lot of tension going on between conflicting parties. The higher the tension, the more likely protests will happen if you don't outline your warning with a justification. That's just my opinion, though

True enough, I'll make it clearer next time, but I pretty much never give an undeserved punishment and have been modding here for over three years now. Never had any issues until now. And the bulk of why this went south is because people aren't seeming to listen when I ask for peace(even when others ask for it too), that is a problem. Look at the actual thread, I did in fact say that he was getting his warning for not listening to others.

So while your opinion is noted and I'll try to be clearer in the future, it doesn't make either warning any less justified because I didn't have the correct terminology. The first, just so things are really clear, was about his disregard for people in the thread by ignoring their call for peace, as well as inciting others, and vulgarity can mean coarse *behavior* as well, which he did show. In fact, for not only continuing, but joining in on these behaviors when at least two members plus the OP asked for settling down, others were equally deserving of the warning. Telling me to "chill" when obviously doing something wrong is not something to be tolerated.

Now a bunch of you may not like me for whatever reasons, but I do try to be fair for all of you. If I ask for something to be done, I don't do it to ruin fun, but to follow rules.

I would bloody well hope that you would think you'd never given an undeserved punishment, to be quite frank, otherwise there is something seriously wrong. That isn't the same thing as saying that you haven't, though....

And, I don't recall you at any point asking me for "peace". Or Frantic, for that matter, but at least the author did there. You just smacked me with a warning straight away with no discussion and absolutely no reason. What the hell is the point of warning which doesn't explain what we did wrong, unless you're looking for an excuse to ban us later on...?

It's not a problem of justification, it's a problem of reaction. Anyways, I guess you're right on that part. Still, out of curiosity: is talking in rhymes still allowed? Because if we were to talk like that while omitting some of the more offensive rhymes Fran did, we wouldn't get warned right?

The rhymes weren't the problem, it was that it was done after other members asked for it to stop.

Plus, people have already made a rhyming thread, so not to be rude, but don't bog a thread down with continuous lyrical freestyling. Derailing has limits. We have the 7th for random things. Go there if you want to pursue your freestyling skills at length.

I'd like to point out the rhyming thread was made by Frantic after I-forget-who told'im to GTFO with his rhymes.
