aaaaaand that's a wrap on Day 1 of E3 2012! Holy crap my feet are sore.
I wish I had time today to take more pictures but I was working most of the time. But here's the quick and dirty...
I arrived bright and early before 8AM today. It was eerily quiet - no one there except for convention center cleaning/repair staff!
At our Atlus booth, we were running playables of Persona 4 Arena (360/PS3), Code of Princess (3DS), various Atlus Online MMOs, and Zeno Clash 2 (yes, we're publishing it!). Interest in P4A was really high, and for good reason. It's a gorgeous game. Plays like BlazBlue (same dev) but more accessible to fighting game newbies. I still suck pretty bad, though.
We also had trailers of P4 Golden running but no demo at this time. As a promotion, we are handing out free T-shirts to all E3 attendees. The line for them was huge!
They're similar to what we were wearing but without the "ATLUS STAFF" logo:
Atlus was next to the Nintendo "booth." Dozens of Wii U demos were running. A friend of mine is a Nintendo model ("booth babe"), so she showed me a bunch of the cooler games.
The Wii U looks to be comparable to current-gen consoles in performance -- I saw Assassin's Creed III and enhanced port Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition running on the playable booths.
In LA Convention Center's West Hall, Sony and Nintendo usually set up there. This time Microsoft was there as well, and they brought the Weta WorkshopPumaWarthog! There was a 2 hour queue for the Halo 4 demo.
During my off-shift hours, I ate horrendously expensive food ($11 crappy lunch o_O) and walked the show. I had time to try out D&D Neverwinter, Playstation All Stars Battle Royale (what a name), Far Cry 3, some Wii U games, Borderlands 2, Fable Journeys (Kinect demo), Pikmin 3, and Planetside 2. Super impressed with a lot of what I saw.
What a day! I only have time to attend one day this year, but hopefully I can go again next year! Though, working E3 is a lot less fun than being a spectator at E3.
