I lived with this man a while back. He is part of why I am intimately familiar with Apergers syndrome and various other forms of autism for that matter. ;)

So he's the guy who turned you into a psychology prodigy who can make a telediagnosis of a neurological disorder based on the postings of a person you know next to nothing about on an eroge forum.

    Good to know.

Its not worth it because then you can only spot one thing.
And it wasnt just him, he had friends who had aspergers and his adopted brother was fully autistic.

Even if you acquire this skill, you still need the certificates.
    Fucking bureaucracy, man.

well, I am certain if I sat down with the board and explained my sterling qualifications they would bow to the wealth of knowledge obtained by living with someone and award me a doctorate on the spot.

    I have Asperger's Syndrome.
Note that I was diagnosed by a professional in the field of developmental psychology and autism.
I just find this to be inane and mostly insulting.

Anyway, I'm not sure where this "uhuuh I must be able to diagnoze autism on th' innernet" came from. All I said was that if Mike admitted to having aspergers syndrome it would allow me to better understand his train of thought.

You wanted Mike to admit having a disorder he wasn't diagnosed with. So I thought you'd be thinking that he had it, making you the prodigy we all know and love.

You only have his word that he wasnt diagnosed with it. What if he was but doesnt feel like admitting it? That would be his right to do.

But that aside, by his own admission I'm not the first person to ask, so it's really not like I'm some wild bolt from the blue here.

Honestly, it's quite possible that I do have it, but I haven't been to a doctor to get myself tested. Honestly, I don't see why it matters whether I have a formal "disorder" or am just a bit weird, the result is the same either way.

I don't subscribe to the belief that something like Asperger's is binary. There are levels of it, and the medical profession makes an arbitrary cut-off point between what is considered as a "disorder" (which you are apparently not responsible for) and what is considered as just being slightly abnormal (and thus, apparently, "your fault"). To me, a person is who they are, and whether or not they have a formal "disorder", it is not their fault that they are that way.

Further, Vegeta, you are by no means the first person to tell me this. Or, even, the first person from this forum to do so. So, don't think you're a total genius for "noticing" it, because you're not.

Yeah, you know how there are a number of "disorders" who all could fit your image of Mike?
    Apparently not.

    It's not binary. It's a scale

But yeah, I agree with you in most points. My only problem lies with internet experts diagnosing others or themselves with it, and the victims of this not trying to work against the symptoms and trying to improve themselves because they now have an excuse. This is kinda becoming a problem, and I think it'll only spread more and more.
