So, maybe the next time I want to "challenge myself" when writing I should look back at Fuil Olc Claidheamh Mór and then proceed to punch myself in the vagina. Then yell at myself, "ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID?!" And then end this by slamming my head into one of the lovely sheet rock walls my house happens to have to never, ever again write something out of my comfort zone unless I have a REALLY good idea and fully fleshed out characters for it.

This has been the hardest thing I've ever written. I'm use to writing under pressure and deadlines. However once I fall into the groove of things I can have a lot of fun and the words just flow.

Apparently, not this story. I figured cursed sword, tiny blond swords woman, evil lich, snarky blacksmith, I could, you know have some fun. Nope. Well, the snarky blacksmith's appearance was fun, but he's only in a third of the story.

This was like the hardest thing I've ever had to write. Ever.

But if it's accepted it's $50.00.

However, I'm sort of worried because the submission's call was very specific and the story HAD to have all of this stuff that, IMHO, just seemed rather clumsy.

Also, with this story, I sort of feel like I sold out, especially if it's published. I haven't even finished "Scream Queen" yet and I'm already selling out. I'm worse than Metalica lately. Sheesh.

Well it's over and the next submission's call before throwing myself into "Scream Queen" again at least will be fun. After this story, I need it.
