And with Bazett...a number of people just have her die outright, making her just a memory.

Even on BL the number of people who have played HA to any great extent is probably matched by those that haven't, and like half those like to pair Bazett with avenger for crazytiemz. It's kind of niche.

It really kind of depresses me that a pairing that's basically canon is niche...

I NOTICED THIS. It's not fair to Bazett. At all. And pairing Lancer with any of the others listed is... well, like pairing Assassin with Yukika :x

I don't think False Assassin x Saber is all that odd, its very similar to Zero Lancer x Saber in that its based on a mutual respect for each others martial skills. As for Bazzet x Lancer, they were really cute together in Carnival Phantasm. That's all I really know about them as a couple

I'd need to play through Unlimited Blade Works again to confirm that, but that's pretty much why I ship it in the first place. (And on a totally random and completely unrelated note, I find it very amusing that I ship Saber with three different people because I did the exact same thing with a certain other character I liked voiced by Ayako Kawasumi...)

Since Hollow Ataraxia isn't fully translated, it can be difficult to really understand why I ship Bazett x Lancer so hard. It's the way their relationship works, really - they bicker a lot, plus Bazett is a huge Lancer fangirl so that's several points in my eyes :P

Sakura x Shirou is actually canon, and that is still horribly underused as a pairing, so you don't really have much of a chance, to be honest....

For Lancer x Bazette I enjoyed Calorie Mate and One Day!

I use to love Lancer x Bazett and then I played Fate/Unlimited Codes. They fight each other in Bazett's route. She waxes poetically about him, Lancer has regret, but it's not like, "I'm going to beat the shit out of my lover!" regret.

It is on Bazett's side though, and the "relationship" seems rather one sided. Lancer treats her as a comrade and a clan member. A sister in arms if you will.

Now look at him openly flirting with both Rin and really hitting on Ayako. Which Ayako responded cutely in FHA. And that is why I like that pairing, Ayako x Lancer I mean.

I do know what you mean though. I ship Rin x Archer, and I'm pretty much the one person who writes that pairing. There was another awesome writer who did, but she went to the Dark Side, or the Hetalia fandom.

Also False Assassin x Saber for the win. I have that pairing in mind as a side for a fic I really do hope to write.

I do like some crack pairings though. *Rider x Archer*

Still, if you want to see some Lancer x Bazett, go to the "Pick Your Poison" thread in the Fanfic section. Just be ready to write a dare in reply.
