I mean, in general vibe. The severe upbeat-ness of the series ending tends to uplift a viewer past the depressing 2/3 into the show; the movie, though it has the hopeful bit at the end, is much more grim in overall rhetoric.

I also didn't really like the resolution of the love triangle. I preferred the series leaving it up to a viewer's interpretation.

Of course, the real argument-is-invalid issue is more like this:

Much like the director, I was absolutely baffled by people thinking the end was meant to be doom-laden. What with the credit songs, it seemed pretty obvious they were going to meet again, and Sheryl spoiler hadn't died.

Also, the Quarter goes surfing. It's blatantly there for the 'cool' factor, but still. A Macross-type ship goes surfing through the clouds. Your argument is invalid!

(More seriously, I would say that the series was better, but it's much closer than you're making it out to be).

Or ignore it and watch the vastly superior and infinitely not as depressing series instead.

...What is it with people who want to stay away from the forum asking to be banned lately? That's like the third person who's mentioned it in the last month. That's not what it's for. And even if we did it, you would just log out and view them as a guest, let's be honest.

Have self control, people. Bans are serious business, not something to be thrown around lightly.

I just try to focus on one story at a time. If a new idea pops into my head, then I jot it down and plan it out so I can write it down later (indeed, I've actually got three stories nearly planned out - well, technically four, but I won't get into that lest I reveal too much before it's even "done.")

To me, there's no shame in that really, but I like to focus on as few projects as possible. To me, the more I spread it out, the less likely I am to do ANY of them in any time fashion whatsoever.

I actually kill a lot of them. ZN01 is a february 2012 bunny. SI01 is January's. S01 is from June 2011, P302 is from April 2011, FHGW is the doc for the Fifth Holy Grail War (continuation pending) E02 is from february 2011, DS01 is from December 2010 knocked to September 2011, D100 is my original work and it's from last year. Both in concept and realization. AJ01 is a rejected idea for the fic contest. The oldest idea is the KH fic that is from circa 2006/2007.

The months that don't have a fic with them were killed. Like 20 to 30 oneshots were killed (R.I.P.) in that year alone. a lot of ideas were killed or joined with another one.

...ouch. Just...ouch. I generally am able to kill off plot bunnies pretty quickly.

I have to make a final. When I could have avoided that. Because I needed 27 points on three tests. And now the maximum I can get is 26. Final is making an animation in a week. With better quality. I surpassed rage and became an ashura for a second.

But then I realized that is school and I shouldn't worry about it. That will just be a week when I do nothing about writing. Can live with it.

Ouch...sorry to hear that, Laith; I do hope it doesn't make the rest of the semester miserable.

@DP: Good thing is that I only work with her 2 hours from now on (I work from 9 to 13 and she works from 11 to 15), bad thing is that she is still my classmate. Can't win then all I gues.
