Yeah when there is no dialogue for example. Description all the way.

I agree. But there are times where I personally feel something should be described more or better. Though, I guess it's just a matter of balances really.

Like I said depends on the character. However if it is in a neutral perspective, since it is peaceful, you do have time to admire the scenery, so to say. That is to say, a comment about the beautiful state of the morning where nothing could go wrong, not describing the morning itself. It is a necessary thing, true, but it is mostly implied since we as readers we just need to know what the character thinks about it or the state of the place but not at detail. Much detail bores most readers when its unnecessary, after all.

    Question.

How do you feel about descriptive differences between moments of peace and moments of tension? For example, being more descriptive of the surrounding when things are peaceful as opposed to a more rushed description when under pressure? Do you feel that the extra detail in peace adds something to the story? Or do you still think something like that is unnecessary?

*tosses a pillow and blankets your way* Take a nap, or more than one, if you need it, Laith. I know how helpful it can be to relax and revitalize you. ^^

No problem, really. Glad you're feeling better. ^^

@DP: Life > Leg. Also an excuse to being lazy give it to me!!! Well tasteless jokes aside, the girls in front of me were a better hostage. They would have acted as a normal hostage would have done so. Me? I would probably annoy the guy so much by trying to correct any mistake he made.

@Lyco: Yeah after some shut eye I'm at my best again. Thanks for the concern.

Hope you feel better, or at least calm down and get some rest, Laith.

I guess if there's any silver lining, it should be he didn't see you. Or else that may have been a little hostage situation.

And something tells me Mexican cops wouldn't have cared if they shot you in the leg to shoot HIM in the leg.

Hey! I said main series. I'm planning on doing a post like this with the spin-offs/Advance/Rush laterish.

Granted my head can't separate Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, so that one I give you.

It is kind of sad that you guys are forgetting a few other games, though.

    Rant, ignore me at will
I really wish people would stop with the rumor that Michael Jackson was responsible for some of Sonic 3's music. He wasn't. People who worked with him may have helped, but we've not uncovered anything but the usual "Sonic Team" musicians, i.e; Jun Senoue, did most of the soundtrack. Yes, yes, we've all heard the rumors, and noted the similarity in keys... that still doesn't mean much. It needs proof, until then, it's unknown at best. And considering how mum Sonic Team is about the whole thing, we may never know. The only thing we know for certain: Any new music in Sonic and Knuckles was from Howard Drossin.

Ahh, Sonic the Hedgehog. I've still got the originals 2, 3, and Sonic and Knuckles for genesis, as well as Adventure 1 and 2 for Dreamcast. Fun times. Fun, fun times.
I think "It doesn't matter" was better for Sonic Adventure 1, than for Sonic Adventure 2, myself.
Also, Crush 40 is pretty good for Sonic Boom, as you yourself said. Though I kinda like the older one for nostalgia.
That reminds me, I need to get Sonic CD on steam soon, with me being able to use my PS3 controller as a gamepad for the computer.
Then again... I have a huge backlog of games already. Meh. Decisions, decisions...

Sonic Boom is cool, Crush 40 singing Sonic Boom is cooler.*

    *Opinions and stuff.

I liked Sonic CD's "Sonic Boom," myself - partly for the novelty of it.

...Oh yeah that's right. Let me edit that.

I wonder if those youtube videos just made audio logs of the VGMs I ripped for Project2612.

In fact, I'd say there's an extremely high likelihood that they did.

(Granted, I didn't do Sonic 1 or 2 - my co-founder reserved those for himself - but I damn well did Sonic 3.)

You also need to be shot - Sky Sanctuary is Sonic and Knuckles, not base Sonic 3. Only way you get that in Sonic 3 is if you did the lock-on with both games.

I have a 360 (cousin's but eeh) a PS3, a Wii (sister's but again eeeh) and a decent PC (Sort of). What I'm getting at is that a 3DS was in the cards from the moment it was announced. So was the Vita but that's for another time.
  18. Dark Pulse's Avatar
But then why would you ever buy a 3DS? Get a 360, or a PS3, or a good PC.
  19. Laith's Avatar
Eeh I could use a PSP which had more or less the same time, I can use the 3DS.

Besides I do all of my gaming in my home, so there is always a plug nearby =D

Alright, so you get maybe five or six hours.

You can always buy that hugeass Nyko battery pack thing, I guess... if you don't mind it practically adding 50% thickness.
