I've been writing this thing for over nine months. I had it entirely thought out, but I couldn't for the fuck of me get a decent lead guitar tone. I finally got it working, and in the succeding 7 hours or so I finally finished it. Feels good.
Score was great, set design amazing, wonderful performamces, and Decker's character arc of coming to terms with the true lives of his murder subjects was amazing. Fantastic sociopoliticeconomical commentary, as is the anthropologic ruminations. There were also tits.
I forgot how long the prologue was. Man, after about 2 years of reading it the first time, it definetly feels very different. The intrigue is no longer there, of course, but it's nice to re-read it knowing all I do now, having it already make sense. The music is top notch, as is the art. It isn't bringing back times past though, that's for certain.
It was pretty good. I understand why people were pissed that the 2017 movie sucked balls. It wasn't too ambitious with its commentary, but the concepts of ghost, hacking, memories and the like were done in a simple yet tasteful way, and the conclusion was rather solid. However, the plot felt not necessarily rushed, but like the climax was not truly palpable. I don't know if it's just too subtle, but it didn't feel like an arc in the biggest sense of the word.
