And now the stalkers come.
That's actually pretty cool
Wait, you mean he wasn't Kevin Durant? Dammit, I thought we had a celebrity here.
Don't feel bad. I've kept people waiting on Of Leaves and Lilac for over two years now. And I really want to get it fully written so I can resume posting it by the end of the year.

Aw shit, and it works out too because he's- Wait, Shirou's not Kiritsugu's biological son. Well, neither are the Sons to Big Boss, they're more clones than AAAAAAAAND I'm giving this too much thought. DEAD IDEA, DEAD IDEA
EMIYA is Liquid. Because he "lives on through this arm!" Making Shirou "just another dead clone of the old man!" Yeah, I played far, far too much MGS when I was younger.
NOW you're trying too hard. Attaboy.
Hmm...... Hypothetical sequel where a clone of Kiritsugu is unearthed and starts to bring about the end of the world, Dio Brando style from JoJo arc 3? :P
...Crazy idea, to say the least. Though who is Liquid Snake?
Oh most certainly, in retrospect I suppose I was freaking out more than I should have been. Admittedly I was awake in the middle of the night when I had the update posted. New lesson learned then, huh?
Is it necessarily bad that people came away with that impression? So long as it got corrected in the next update and you pointed out that we should have seen it coming, I wouldn't have been upset at all. Misdirecting your audience can be part of the fun of writing.
Well, I'm not sure how that was how people read it... I just read it as "Rin and Tokiomi are in for trauma 24/7 for however long they're in Alice's clutches". Trauma can't be done if they're killed. XP
TRON Legacy and the other post-TRON content always exemplified the video game nature of the company, but they also have defense contracts with the government and develop a major operating system. Heck, they have a laboratory for laser testing to digitize real-life objects and all. In this concept I thought they could get pretty far in all sorts of fields.
ENCOM?
And now you know why I tend to write my stories out completely in rough draft form before I even announce them. Although, thanks to the experience I've had with work delaying my own story (which WAS on time, every week, for over 50-60 weeks before it robbed me of all energy to write the thing), I'm thinking I may begin doing the story from A-to-Z and finishing it before I even announce it, and then simply release the chapters on a weekly basis. And to those who read it: Yes, I will finish the thing. No later than by the end of August/September, as I plan to quit this job in Mid-June. Not only will that give me much needed stress relief, but it will also give me the time to do it with, since I won't be devoting my days off to de-stressing myself.
I would be dealing with 7 Masters and their Servants in a Holy Grail War and thus that's a shit-ton of material to work out and write down. Believe me, I know the feeling. Absolute bitch, innit? You know, I feel kind of evil, teaching my computer to swear. (Although, just as I'm typing this, I discover that it knows 'shit-ton' for some reason) -She of the voice recognition software
Yes, I know the feeling. Sometimes I wonder if I should have bashed out a few more one-shot 'fics for practice before I embarked on my first good-sized project - everything seems to want to change, and it does become really difficult to commit. In fact, I'm actually considering doing that still, before I wrap it up and get around to posting it. Just because experience is so valuable. (But then I'll be delaying; and more stuff will change; and I'm not sure I'll have actually dealt with the problem. Tch.)
