Sir, you flatter me. :P Took me the better half of a year to get to that point.

And I love the CZ-75! In fact, if I had known about it at the time I probably would have saved an extra $100 or so and gotten that instead.

Yes. Blame Mr. Cleese and a rather old British radio comedy show for extending the classic schweinehund to 'pigdograbbitpelican'.

PPSSPP IS the best emulator out there but there are still some issues. In Persona 2 for example, sound effects have that brass effect that hurts ears, character sprites outside of battle are a little darkened and scenes outside of dungeons are also a little darkened (nothing drastic, but noticeable).

Also (and this one is also shared with Persona 1) some 2D effects have a black square surrounding them instead of being transparent, though in P2, this only affects Igor's Persona summoning, instead of in-battle like in P1.

I want to try again sometime in the future but for now I'll probably have to consider the PC as an alternative LP platform. Let me know if you have any game suggestions -- even silly ones -- because I have a very large library and backlog.

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.

    how's the DA/SA pull weight
Pretty good, I described it in the review. SA is about 4-5 pounds. A DA trigger pull is always somewhat difficult to get off smoothly but the SA is very easy to manage. Sig triggers are different than other popular brands, though, so they take getting used to. They don't have that soft "mushy" feel like Glock or M&P.

I'm not sure of the lack of a physical safety
I know some people that are uncomfortable with striker fired (e.g. Glock) or decocker-only guns without manual safeties, but to them I say this: you should treat every gun like it doesn't have a safety lever.

It's better to train yourself on something without a manual safety for a few reasons:
    * Manual safeties are just another point of failure between user and firearm, especially under stress
    * Extra parts mean extra sources of mechanical failure
    * People who rely on a manual safety often become complacent with safe gun handling practices

In short, safety features of any kind are NO SUBSTITUTE for following the Four Rules of Firearm Safety. Remember, the only real safety is the one between your ears.

possibility of dropping the sidearm and having it go off
A myth; this will never happen. Modern firearms are constructed with multiple internal safety functions that prevent a loaded gun from firing unless the trigger is depressed, on multiple redundant levels.

I guarantee you that anyone that claims "it just went off!" is lying or simply didn't realize they had their finger on the trigger.

As a Canadian with no practical firearms experience, how's the DA/SA pull weight? I was thinking of getting a Sig somewhere down the line if I ever worked in the US but I'm not sure of the lack of a physical safety. I'm always afraid of the possibility of dropping the sidearm and having it go off although I believe firearms standards specifically made to prevent this nowadays.

Let me explain the problem with recording directly via RemoteJoyLite.

RJL can record video by default. However, this produces an .avi file that is not readable by any media player application that I have. Most likely, it uses either a totally outdated codec, or one specific to Japanese software. Probably both.

RJL also has a "capture .wav" option that will record a separate .wav file containing all sound playing through the Windows default device. That includes the PSP sound and microphones if they were set up as input devices. The .wav files have, in my experience, played fine.

So the problem isn't really the sound, per se. It's more that the video is fucked and even if it weren't, it would be far simpler to use FRAPS and avoid having to merge the video and sound tracks together on my own.

That's apparently never, ever worked though. The Line-In method is the only one I've heard of that actually does.

So how'd you get sound working with the thing? IIRC, RemoteJoyLite doesn't send sound.
I never played much of P4, either! Though tbh I was waiting for Golden to come out in Japan to buy it. And a Vita.

So yeah, RJL was a real pain in the ass to get working. On my old comp in fact I could just not record and use it at the same time.

This time i have RJL streaming video via USB to a window. PSP sound is coming directly into the computer via Line In, and so is my microphone. All of that is being recorded via FRAPS. It also works live streaming to Twitch via Open Broadcasting Software (see the P2 video)
