So according to the young gun of a bonesaw I have, I'm now ready to eat sustenance that doesn't need to be drunken through a straw or put through the blender umpteen times until it's ready to be consumed. Things're looking up!

So I wanted to update this particular blog series on what would have been something like a semi-regular basis. Then around the day following the day after my last post I suffered a massive nausea spell drenched in a hot steaming pile of NOPE. With it went pretty much all motivation I had for basically everything, it was that bad.

Anyway, how am I doing? There's no pain, the swelling's down 99%, I no longer have to eat meals solely through a straw, and half of my face is still numb ...

...okay, not really, but the doctor did say that I was basically the perfect textbook example of anyone taking the surgery I had. IE no sensitive nerves buried in wonky-ass difficult to handle locations, no horribly mishapen jawbones, etc. It's one of the chief reasons (outside of capable work done by competent surgeons with plenty of experience) the actual healing process has gone so swimmingly so far, so that's gotta count for something. Thanks for the good genes, Mom and Dad and whomever else ...

I can barely mumble, let alone speak coherently because aside from the aforementioned numbness my mouth is wired almost completely shut. I'm plagued with on again/off again nausea because I was hit up with so much anesthesia. I can only sit upright. Swallowing is almost impossible. If my mouth wasn't entirely void of any feeling I'd probably be tasting blood right now, so much of it keeps mixing with my saliva. The family is eating hot, greasy burgers right ...

So tomorrow I'll be getting surgery I've been preparing a year for done on my lower jaw done in the early morning, which is for sure going to take up the whole day and might possibly lead to me staying overnight in the clinic. Which means I won't be able to lurk at all on Beast's Lair during that time, let alone post anything.
