I loved the third season. It made me want to think about reading the novels (hopefully for Haborym). But I didn't end up doing it.

I really like Haborym (I normally like pretty random characters. Case in point: I love Gomez from Birdy the Mighty).

I also kinda really need to rewatch the series. As I went into the third season while remembering almost literally nothing from the previous two as I seriously haven't read or seen anything of Season 1 or 2 since 06-07 (about 2-3 months after second season's end). But ended up loving it as the Third Season was just amazing as it had a lot of things I like.

    Hm thats too bad
well i also found what little i did read of the novels to be really wearsome because of the tendency to go with the full names +titles of every flame haze and guze...

Welp. Better what I have than what I don't. The show's still definitely not a bad watch, and that's what matters to me.

hm i should really try readng the Novels too, but im not sure where to get them in the right order, basically. i should maybe check on bakatsuki's progress...
As you can see only 7, 8, and 16 are fully translated and PDF worthy. 22 is pretty much almost all translated, so that's a bonus as well. But it certainly doesn't have ToAru's speed, I'll say that much.

In other news, Eternal Song is in permabeastmode. Shit is cash.

    Ahh, Shana.

I never did get to finish that.

Alas, her clones can never compare.

Oh wow didn't expect to see anything about shana here. Any how I know somethings about it so I'll comment a little on what you have to say.

Bal Masque's goals seemed awfully...unhomogeneous. Hardly any connection or unity between their plans, even though they show some impressive (ridiculous?) forward thinking in FINAL when it comes to scheming and planning. First, the desire to turn Yuji into a living battery for them courtesy of his magical perpetual motion machine. Yeah, I can see how that could be related to how they as a group follow Party Snake. But what was the point of making the giant living statue? What did that have to do with their goals in FINAL?

Behold the glory of anime filler endings. Season 1 and 2 are all filler ends which is why the trinity seems so much weaker then they did at the end of the show.

Anime viewers still have no idea how Yuji became a torch in the first place. Not that that's required knowledge or anything, but the details behind that would have at least made for a more intriguing, in-depth watch. For that matter, what were the exact circumstance behind Yuji joining up with Bal Masque? It just sort of happened.
Nothing much for how Yuji became a torch Johan died and his treasure went with him to a just then formed torch that just happened to be Yuji. I believe it was around a month or so before the main story.

Yuji joined Bal Masquebecause snake has been talking to him in his dreams since like middle of 2nd season or so. It was cut out for some odd reason making him changing sides seem at first seem random while it was foreshadowed since about the 8th novel from him talking and from how yuji got more weary as time went on.

At first, Yuji seems like he won the goddamn superpower lottery. Him being a Mystes with a permanent Power of Existence generator nestled inside him that lets him channel enough power on the level of a Crimson King, has a bazillion other people living inside his body at any given time (Johan/the Silver/avatar of the Party Snake), and has access to their skillsets?
It also has a few things that make it suck as well and you forgot his only spell can effectively copy almost any other spell if he takes the time to learn how. Also his Power of existence is last I checked Crimson god level which is why Alaster mentioned he was screwing with the balance badly just by existing in one scene and Shana says she isn't going to kill him over it.

Anyway, further research shows that I have some OVAs to watch. As well as catch up on some side story mangas. And maybe get into what there is of the novels proper if I have time to spare.
Have fun. The OVAs are decent. The manga side story is godly and the novels are great.

Also as a note while the anime is decent I can't stand how awesome Yuji is novel wise compared to anime wise he knows Shana loves him fairly early on. He actually defends himself and shows off his mad skills at senses that dwarf Alaster's. It sucks they cut most of this out. Another thing second season is the worst because about nine episodes are fillers this being the massive slice and life drag on festival in the middle of the season.

Why did he go crazy at the sight of red colored liquid again?
Just noticed this question in the comments might as well answer. Shiro has seen a lot of his friends die the major one being the person contracted to Alastor before shana. Red liquid makes him flashback to those types of events.

Robotech, DBZ, Ronin Warriors, Pokemon, Digimon, Gundam, Gundam Wing, G-Gundam, Zoltron, Rurouni Kenshin, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo ...

And that's just the stuff I saw on Cartoon Network and Fox Kids. The anime stuff.

Then for non-anime... Spider-man, X-men, Silver Surfer (for the short time they made that a cartoon), Batman the Animated Series, Loony Toons, Ed Edd n' Eddy, CatDog, Rugrats, Transformers (original and Beast Wars) ... fuck, at this rate I'm gonna name everything in the 90s.

Yeah so everything in the nineties basically.

I am neutral on the 'moe'. Some of it is good, some of it is just moe and thus often not that great.

Same with me, The only thing I didn't get to watch until I was older was Macross. There's a lot of old stuff that's gone from TV these years, I remember being a kid and watching Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, etc.

As far as the "Moe" thing goes, I think it can die a painful and fiery death.

The main cartoons that I remember watchin?
Spider-Man: The New Animated Series and Unlimited and Transformers Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and Robots in Disguise.
Spider-Man because I'm a webface-fan. Transformers because I'm also a fan, and Dinobot is my hero. RiD Megatron/Galvatron is awesome, though Megatron II (BW) is such a HAM.

I really don't have a problem with "moeblob" stuff, I just tend to not watch it much. K-ON I watched and liked, but I'm not a rabid "ZOMG BEST ANIMU 4 EV3R YUS" fan of it. IdolM@sters I haven't watched; I just like Takane and her songs.
I blame Santo for any attachment I have to Acchi-Kocchi. XP

My all time favorite anime (which I now own all discs of~) is FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
Favorite manga? FullMetal Alchemist (yes rly), Black Cat, and PSYREN.

Two of the cartoons I watched as a kid only make my love of anime seem all the more appropriate: ExoSquad, which was jumping on the Robotech bandwagon, and King Arthur and the Knights of Justice, which should be funny for obvious reasons.

As for moeblob shows, well, I don't particularly have an issue against any sort of trend in anime. I mean, it's just like anything else in anime. Or entertainment in general. It'll come and go at its leisure and something else will rise to take its place. Might as well find the ones that you enjoy and get your money's worth while they're here, since in ten years it'll probably be impossible to find for a while. And I like my SoL stuff. It provides a nice balance for when I'm watching something overly serious like Psycho-Pass or something depressing as shit like Kotoura-san (I don't care what anybody says, even with the comedy in that I still feel like an ashamed human being that should die with the rest of his species when I watch that show).

I liked it as well (the porn was just a bonus for me however). Not so fond of it's ending however (the original one anyway).
