I'm so bookmarking this. Baldur's gate now that brings me back.
Its funny because she styles herself as a tsundere at one point, even though she clearly isn't. I'm not entirely sure what 'Gahara is, but I do know that she needn't be held back by Generic Anime Character Label #fivezillion. But yeah, Bakemonogatari definitely benefits from an all-around strong cast of characters (one of my faves is Nadeko, though I'm pretty much convinced that's mostly just because I like Kana Hanazawa). And yes, Karen is best Fire Sister. Will be back with a more coherent review for M:L&S in due time.
The concept for the story isn't that bad... unfortunately it's about five in the morning and I haven't even gotten any sleep, so you'll please forgive me if I can't leave any criticism here, constructive or otherwise. In any case though, just keep going~ I want to see if you've got it.
@dolly Oh right, can't forget the mindblowing. Some people like that, I do too on occasion, so that might be another big part of it. Also, Nadesico hasn't let me down like Fate, so I'd say Ruri is the superior loli. Then again, I'm more likely to enjoy sci-fi over fantasy, so whatever. @Zidan Indeed, but discovering awesomeness very late is sort of a thing I do. @Laith My friends at MAL think I should watch Prince of Darkness; they say it's not bad. Of course, if I should not like it, it'll result in some very interesting posts. Also wish I knew more about SRW, so I'd know what people were talking about. @IRUN I'm actually notorious for my high standards of quality. Thanks for agreeing, though. @Char I'm aware of that. To the more uptight members of Anime News Network, moe girls are some kind of cancer. I personally usually don't mind them . . . usually.
Different opinions, people have them. Alot of people are turned off anime when they see the "moe" anime girl.
As usual, your tastes are high quality.
Don't watch the Prince of Darkness movie. It's awful. Also the Esties are awesome and Gai saving Tsukumo from being killed and then saving Akito before he gets shotdown by Hokushin at the tune of Geki Ganger 3 are pretty sweet moments* *These memories are from Super Robot Wars W, I'm sure.
Nadesico is awesome. Shame you had to find that out later.
Likely because, while both series serves as deconstruction of the mecha genre, Eva broke ground by combining mindfuck and angst with the mecha genre while Nadesico took did a straight parody of the entire genre, and anime fandom in general, by setting the difference between hard and soft mecha series center stage. The first is a bit more eye catching then the second it seems. That being said, Ruri is the superior waifu by far. She is my second favorite loli after Illya <3. Also it amuses me greatly that Shinji and Akito both have the same VA in english.
@Irothin Already saw that some time ago. Trespasser looks like it could've been a good game . . . had it been made with today's technology. I do still LOL at the "shameful secret" of Trespasser, though. @Beam and DP I prefer seasons 3 through 8 myself. While I would consider these seasons some of the best in the history of television, it's not like your life won't be complete without seeing The Simpsons, so don't feel left out, Beam.
If you do start watching, watch it from when it was in its prime, approximately Seasons 5-15. After that... yeah, goes downhill.
Despite what many people will probably tell you, I can confidently say that you're not really missing out on much.
You know, as an American, I can confess I have never once watched The Simpsons.
On the subject of Let's Plays of bad FPS games, I recommend the Trespasser LP by ResearchIndicates.
There's nothing that says the blogs have to be related to TM....
AA makes AC look about as shitty as AC makes Re-Act look as shitty. The "cheaper" route to find out if you'd like it or not would be to import the PS2 version. You can find that online for probably $50-60 or so. Of course, then you'll need either a PS2 to play it on (modded, of course, in some way), or a fairly beefy PC to emulate it via PCSX2. Of course, if you wind up liking it, the cheaper route becomes more expensive, because then you'll want to buy the PC version.

IIRC they check for game discs and such, and then automate the install from there. So really, it should be: 1) Run the MB English patch, it should install the game for you. 2) Run the Re-ACT patch, it should install the game for you. Install to the same folder as base Melty. If in doubt, RTFM; you seem intelligent enough.
Naturally, xm. Part of what keeps people going is the addition of hot anime girls to ogle.
@ Neir, Leopard, and Five Beast's Lair truly is filled with jaunty perverts. @ DP Okay, so all I do is install MB, then install React Final Tuned, and then apply the English patch to React? 1) IIRC, Re-ACT is basically a retuned/revamped version of the original game. The story mode and such is intact; in fact, you need the original game installed to even play Re-ACT. 2) See above. 3) MBAACC is definitely more fun to play. More flexible, more characters, and you can play it online without hax. 4) Trying to work things on that make you happy...
