Long, long ago, I went to Anime Revolution 2012 in Vancouver and saw the events, bought the swag, and photographed the cosplayers.

Just a few months or so back, I happened to actually meet up with one of those cosplayers. In fact, we actually work together and live in the same town, which really is kind of surprising. You might vaguely remember her from my AR blog here, in which I mistook her for the actually super famous cosplayer/model Jessica Nigri.

Ah, the last day of Anime Revolution! As it happened, this was the day with the most rigid schedule, for me at least. Though, unfortunately, my friends and I left at 9 instead of 8, and so I didn't get there obsessively early to do everything at the convention.

There was about an hour or so before I planned to get in line for The Dark Side of Jouji Nakata, and in that hour I first got my commission ordered, for seven dollars from the same group of girls that sold me their awesome Mami ...

I departed today a half hour earlier than yesterday, and because my friends and I (including one who was not there Friday) all had our passes already, we got in without having to wait in a two-hour long lineup.

We started out mostly by wandering around; we encountered the people running a paintball shooting gallery who tried to coerce us into doing a round of it. We were told that if we all came in costumes on Sunday it would be free, but that statement seems somewhat dubious. After ...

Some more work was done on the project over the last couple of days, and it was very productive! Unless there's some major screwing around, everything should be finished next time my friend and I get around to working.

I'm a big fan of cheapass thrift stores because they have tons of clothes to buy. I went and got plenty of cosplay things for about $30 total.

What I'm not a fan of, though, is when a once-great camera mysteriously becomes crap and takes low-res, way too bright photos. What happened to you, man? You used to be awesome. Now you're just disappointing, and I don't even want to deal with you anymore. Hopefully you prevail at the convention. If I bring you.
