Reminds me of the time where high-charisma sorcerer me and higher-charisma bard Evelyn ended up as the entertainment for an orc mob boss. He expected hookers, but I managed to bluff him into believing we were stage magicians instead. Evelyn promptly outbluffs me and convinces that yes, she is in fact the kind of entertainment he initially expected. After he grabs her and heads for a back room, I end up fighting a roomful of orcs with two other party members. We leave after hearing loud and rhythmic thumps, and she shows up at the inn the next morning with 1 HP left after rolling a natural 20 for surviving the encounter.

Bill sounds like he's out to wipe the entire party for no discernible reason.

Pretty much this yeah, but that doesn't mean he's notably high level.

In Anima levels make you exponentially more powerful so you can quickly get to the point where you explode armies, but then the one high level guy in the army will kick your ass.

(A scene arriving soonish will show what I mean.)

He's pretty much attained meme-status in OOC, yeah.

If the group hadn't split up and let him power-up for like a minute, they could in theory have taken him though. His techniques are super powerful but take some time to activate.

If you hadn't already said this is still running, I would have assumed we were heading into a total party wipe as Casus gets sick of everyone's boneheaded choices and ki-blasts them all to death.

But I'm happy I'm wrong because this is too fun to end so soon.

Oh, a major NPC dying on his first scene was just the start of the insanity.

Pretty much the same here. I dislike it when people put down in any fashion the antagonist to whatever it may be, whether an opposing team in sports to a character in fiction. Don't take away the fact that the antagonist is awesome, make sure it's emphasized--so it makes us beating them all the sweeter.

It was a pretty good blog though.


So, people shouldn't really be mad that the only person to beat Gilgamesh is Gilgamesh. Since wasn't that the whole point of UBW, the battle is against yourself? Shirou succeeding at one thing that Gilgamesh failed to even dignify?
