Let's talk about Twice H Pieceman.

Mostly remembered for his silly name and hijacking Fate/Extra's finale by expositioning his backstory and motivations for half an hour, Twice's way of thinking is actually central in Type-Moon as a whole, do I figured I'd write about it a bit. A lot happened since the previous blog. I discovered just about every other race, for one. The first mass discovery occurred when my flagship happened on a vortex that transported it to the other half of the galaxy. In order these guys are:

1 - The Drath Legion: I'm going to be honest, I have no clue what the Drath are about. They always seem to start off strong and then just kind of...vanish halfway through the game, never to be relevant again.

Some of you may have heard me talk about how Galactic Civilizations 2 is in my opinion the best game of that type (at least that I've played).
I have a confession to make: I've actually only ever completed one GalCiv 2 game, and that was by being a race of diplomatic cowards who allied with everyone and got their allies to kill those who refused to ally. I didn't fire a single shot in that entire game. Every time I try a conquest game it goes poorly because I'm not actually very good at it. ...

Something I wanted to write a bit about that bothers me a fair bit when I read fiction (mostly more fantasy-heavy stories, for reasons that's soon be obvious) is the absurdly powerful character who's wracked with insecurity or acts just as nervous as everyone else.

Before going into why it bothers me, let's clarify what type of character I'm talking about because someone could (rightly) point out "obviously there are cases where power doesn't equal confidence".
