  1. Should I consider myself lucky?

    I used to play Magic the Gathering with my friends back in high school, and recently I had cause to look at the Wizards of the Coast website for something. While I was looking for the piece of news I was after however, I happened to note that the latest set had been released. Out of curiosity I looked at some of the new cards, and I fell in love with two of them.

  2. God, Mosquitoes, and Influenza

    Why did god create mosquitoes and the flu virus? The bloodsucking fiends and the creeping plague seem to serve no other purpose than to spread themselves around and make us miserable. This is probably not a very sensible description of what these things do, but since I'm drugged to the gills on anti-flu medication that doesn't really matter does it? The flu this year is pretty horrible, and right now I'm running a fever of 40, sweating and freezing to death, and I have no idea where I'm taking this. ...

  3. I'm... How old??

    It's strange. I only realised today that I'm 22 years old when I looked at my displayed age, and not 23 years old like I thought I was.

    ... Before anyone asks how this is possible, I must point towards the fact that I'm half Korean and that in Korea people's ages are +1 when compared with western systems. This is because we count from the time we are conceived, and not the time that we are actually born.

  5. I wish I had a time machine...

    The 80's for me was the golden age of music. Queen, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, U2 (still around), and many other legendary figures were in their prime and producing music of a quality you just don't see any more (yes, I'm talking to you all you DrugHoppies, Beavers and Gagamaniacs). This fact was re-emphasised to me by the live-aid 1985 DVD collection that I finally managed to obtain, where some of the greatest bands of all time rocked out Wembley Stadium.
