Oh, sorry - I forgot to remind you about Murdoch Mysteries' season premiere last week, and I meant to. Did you catch it?

I hadn't actually realized that the Monster cereals were seasonal now; I thought when I saw the promotion that they'd been cancelled and that it was this year only they were bringing them back as a special promotion (not that the promotion were the return of Frute Brute and Yummy Mummy). I've pounced on three boxes of Count Chocula; I love the stuff.
Like I said, it's the only one I've ever tried - and it's good stuff. I'm debating whether or not to grab the rest of them . . . And whether or not to actually eat them if I do.

In any case, they should be available throughout the month of October, so stock up while you can!

Yep! I saw it and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in the theater on the same day!
I think we did that with "Licence to Kill" and "Last Crusade," but I really can't remember anymore.

Oh, yeah, Sleepy Hollow is great. Perfect example of how something can be funny without sacrificing plot, and scary and atmospheric without sacrificing comedy. One of my favorites. I never watched 21 Jump Street, though I was in the target demographic when it was on the air (I graduated from high school in 1989).
*blinks* OK, you're older than me - and I've been under the impression that that's rare, around here. Good to know, though.

Heh, yeah, my friends and I went to see the first movie in the theater when we were in college.
Whereas my mother took my sister and I, seeing as we were its target demographic.

Actually, I've re-watched all three films recently, and they still hold up surprisingly well - the first one especially. Would that all old movies did as well.

I'm so old, I remember watching Michael Keaton play Batman in the theatre - and until Christian Bale, all others were a pale imitation.

My favorite Johnny Depp movie is Sleepy Hollow, which always felt underrated to me. And I remember him from 21 Jump Street too.

I'm not quite that good - I think my introduction to him was "Edward Scissorhands." But yeah, you know what I mean.

Ah, the summer of my tenth year - when I discovered Tim Burton, Indiana Jones, and James Bond (Licence to Kill). Good times, good times.

It was also Batman's 50th birthday, and they published a cool history book with an intro written by Mark Hamill - I wonder if they'll update it for his 75th, next year?

Absolutely. And it has Christina Ricci, who improves every movie she's in.

I watched part of that on cable last year, when I was laid up (only the second time I'd seen it), and had a jaw-dropping moment when I realised "I know him from Harry Potter, and him, and him, and . . . Damn."

I can still sing the theme song.
    Yup.

Oh, and I watched the original "My Little Pony" when it was airing.
Yup again - we couldn't miss that, in my house. My sister was enthralled; not only did it have horses, the girl had a variation on her name!

For 2014 I am planning a "Nostalgia" Cosplay for the Anime Con I always go to in January. I plan to do Jem and Rainbow Bright. (Plus I have the hair for RB too.)
But do you have the horse?

Also, do you remember an animated Dracula adaptation where he fought his super Ayran son that was done by Marvel Studios?
I think I've read about it - but no, I never saw it.

Yeah, I will admit we had a lot of cool stuff that you don't see any more (like wooden playground equipment!), and got away with doing a lot of things you can't do today - but the modern generation does have its advantages.

For example, when I was growing up, my sister was pretty much the only other kid in the neighbourhood - and I'd have complained a lot less about having to play dolls with her they'd been Monster High dolls instead of Barbie ones. I mean, yes, they're girl dolls - but they're monster girl dolls!

Chapter's up to 85% done, so it'll be up on time, tomorrow - I just need to figure out how to end the scene properly.

As I understand it, yes, you'd have to rebuild the system - but at least the leyline surge would give you a relatively close place to start. compared to the original location. And since they'll (probably) be negotiating with Akiha, they might even be able to gain some concessions, since she is comparatively young and inexperienced.

. . . I admit I'm sorely tempted to make this Akiha's (Good?) ending where Shiki is presumed dead - she agrees to host the War since the Grail can bring him back, and Kohaku enters as the Tohno clan's Master. The only question is, do I bend the rules and let her summon Medea as Caster (which shouldn't be possible, since this will be a pure Grail), or go with Frankenstein/Berserker (a doll for a doll, after all)?

Well, I'm thinking that a few of them can be tossed on the "discontinued/permanent hiatus" pile - they're mostly there already, I've just refused to acknowledge it. Technically, I count myself as having only 2 stories at the moment: Trinity, and whatever original work I manage to actually work on.

Good to know, thank you. So, I definitely need to sink Fuyuki into a crater, then.

He probably will be - though whether as a Master or an uninvolved bystander, I'm not sure. There are points in both scenarios that I like.

    it's just a question of which route he's taken . . .
