668 - Neighbor of the Beast

Not many people know this, but last February, my brother's father (we have the same mother) died. He died February 15th. He was 52.

Yesterday, my father died. He died April 15th, two months later to the day. He was at the funeral for the stepfather. He died less than an hour before I went to go see him, because mom had told me a few hours beforehand, when she visited him, that it wasn't looking good for him to live much longer. He was also 52. I got to say my goodbyes to his corpse. ...

So, with the exception of the three Disgaea games, everything I wanted arrived as of today: Prinny 2 on Monday, damn near everything but my extended batteries, AV Cable, and Screen protectors Tuesday, and those today.

What I've discovered so far:

Good:

• CSOs can take a short while to load if at max compression, but still not "forever" (unlike some of my friends who would be whining) so it's pretty acceptable, and usually mostly only while the actual game

Decided the time was about right to buy a PSP.

Why?

Well...

• There's still no good emulators for it. At all. Save for one, which is coded in Java.
• With the Vita coming out, Sony is almost definitely going to try to kill it within the next 9-18 months.
• I still want to play Fate/EXTRA. And will hope that Fate/Extra CCC gets translated stateside.
• Ultimately, my DS Lite is a bit worn out.
• Still want to play the Disgaeas, too. (Though I have the second one
