I trust everyone who is willing to help me to be able to manage their finances, and if they cannot afford to give it, to not do so. Nobody is forcing anyone to give up rent/food money here. Nobody is even forcing anyone to give me money here.

As for not getting involved, I've been involved for three months, way before you guys even began to hear about it. It's a bit too late to "not get involved this much."

Yes, and as I said in the edit/update just now, there's a good reason for that - different court system (civil vs. criminal) equals different warrants. We'd forgotten about the criminal court shit as most of this was done via civil court, but I remember us "dealing" with it earlier (in July) when we had the second lawyer who fucked us.

I don't really have a choice but to cut it off if I get no extra support. They know that as well as I do.

As I said, I am going to help as long as I can until either they beat the warrants, or the warrants beat them. It's very easy for you to say this, but again, I know these people quite intimately.

Germany or South Korea would be pretty interesting, South Korea would be extra so since from there maybe I could hop to Japan. I'd like to go there at least once before I die... even if I'll have an extremely hard time with some stuff there. Ain't none of those slippers fitting my fucking feet, I have a hard enough time getting correctly-sized shoes over here, even.

Thankfully that's not our lawyer anymore, yes. A day or two after that is when he was off our case.

And he was ripping us off, by not putting our money into the stuff he was supposedly paying for us.

There is no way a real lawyer wrote that letter so that’s probably where she’s getting ripped off.

I will be okay... if living very leanly until I get some disposable income back again. What I'm worried for is more my co-worker.

As she is the one who gives me rides to/from work, if she has to leave this job, that means that I will have to start busing it to and from work every day. That obviously becomes a bit nasty, especially in winter, and paying her $10 a week for gas is cheaper than I'd ever get for the bus (which is $5 for a day pass, or $75 if I get a monthly pass).

She's promised me that no matter what, she will pay me back - it's a question of when, not if. But it obviously gets a lot harder if she can't get those checks, or worse, is forced to leave her job.

The more money I can get into my bank account via my Papyal, the easier I can fight this. Just right now most of my sources of funds are tapped out. I've got a thing I preordered a year ago I'm trying to cancel, that will return about $425, but I need most of that to also pay for next month's chunk of bills.

So at this point I'm really down to hoping they don't need what little I have left that I can spare. Because if they do, and I can't find a way to get it, it's all over and most of this fighting will have been for nothing.

Awhile, since the mod scene is very much in its infancy right now, and to do that properly, you'd have to be able to change the whole algorithm generation.

As for that, pretty much nope. You can rename stuff, that's about it. It's very much a game focused on exploration and also a game that pushes you to remember that your time on this world will be transient; you can't discover everything, and once you move on, there's little reason to go back, either.

Stuff like that enhances the "solitary and alone" feel of the game, and I dig that.

I think they did that ten years ago and it was called Metroid Prime

Some people say it looks exactly the same no matter what you set the resolution to but I didn't try messing around with it that much.

That is bugged right now, yes, but there are mods that solve that issue. The PC version already has mods, some of which are going a long way to fixing annoyances. (Like LowFlight, and Immersive Space.)

It's pretty much as simple as dragging and dropping a file into your GAMEDATA folder. I have to use it too, as the game definitely don't render at my native resolution either, but some of the screenshots in my post were done under the influence of this mod, and you'll see those ones are way less jaggy and more crisp.
