And it only cost me $45 above what I would've paid with tax anyway - about $825 in all. Considering some people are selling these things for SCALPER prices (I've seen them going for $950 easy, on cards whose MSRP is like $719), I got away with it fairly lightly. Still got scalped, of course, but a $45 scalp is a hell of a lot better than a $200 scalp. Expecting a "Fund it, you fucks?" Sorry, won't do that this time. Certain people seem to think that for some reason this actually discourages people from looking at it and making a judgment as to whether it's worth their own money. So Thursday, the police had dropped by as they saw we had a home security camera system, and they pulled some of the footage we'd had stored off of it. Friday, they arrested some 19 year-old who admitted he murdered our neighbor, then set the house on fire to try to cover it up. What a wonderful world.
