  1. Night Owl.

For those who have been following my last two blog posts on the subject, I am pleased to announce that my shift from an animal science major to a journalism major with an animal science minor has gone relatively smoothly, after the initial blow-out with my dad. We sat down and talked it out, really talked it out like we probably should have years ago, and he's willing to let me give this a shot and try my own way, now that he knows I truly want to do it and won't take the easy way out.

  2. For A Certain Definition of Fun.

So it turns out my dad isn't quite as okay with my thought of changing my major as I initially thought he was yesterday, as he made rather obvious over breakfast this morning. By shouting.

Now, I can understand his concern, his worries. He's been unemployed for three years, the economy sucks, and we've had to take out loans to be able to get through college, which means debt. And he's worried because a BA is less respected than a BS in the world, which I admittedly can't argue with ...

  3. Jumping Right Around.

by , June 27th, 2012 at 02:13 PM (Beam's Blog of Writing and Other Things.)
So as you may have noticed, I'm out of school for the summer and the writing still hasn't picked up too much, not counting the stuff I post to my drabble dump. 4. AnimeNEXT 2012 Thoughts (or, Utena Utena Utena).

by , June 9th, 2012 at 08:02 PM (Beam's Blog of Writing and Other Things.)
First and foremost, I can still feel my legs. I consider this a good thing, since Hero's blog post on the matter of attending a con left his legs hurting. I guess it's a sign of how much I walk and run that all I felt after a day of walking from about eleven to five was some twinging in my muscles.

Didn't go on a spending spree because of financial issues, but I bought the Student Council and Black Rose arcs for Revolutionary Girl Utena, which was about 86 dollars total. I would have ...

  5. AnimeNEXT 2012.

by , June 8th, 2012 at 07:54 PM (Beam's Blog of Writing and Other Things.)
In my hometown of Somerset, New Jersey. Huzzah!

So yeah, bit of a sudden thing, but I'll be at AnimeNEXT tomorrow with a few friends, my pal begged me to come with him since he's already been there a few times and his friends from school wanted to attend and pulled him along. Dunno if any other BL members will be attending but hey, if you are, give me a holler! Maybe we can find each other.

Not entirely sure what to expect, since this is my first time attending a con. I ...
