How unusual

I've made a few offhand comments about how there was a raccoon in my attic, which I'm sure you've all forgotten about, but pest control finally got rid of it. And without chasing me with a net for a change; that's a first.

Honestly, I'm just glad that I no longer have to listen to creepy scratching sounds in the middle of the night as it sharpens its claws on the other side of my bedroom wall while I'm trying to sleep. It's also nice that it's not attempting to build a gigantic perimeter ...

It feels like everyone's going on about No Man's Sky over the past few days; about how spectacular/ly disappointing it is, or what moderately interesting thing they found while exploring a planet, or how they got themselves killed in an embarrassing way.

However, I've been on an entirely different sci-fi binge. I'll give you a hint about what it is: Excellent games, but poor sales, and lots of purist fans who are up in arms over the last two titles. Also, it's in the title.

I finally conceded to give the Tamamo in my head an alternate ending, so she finally disappeared, receding back into my subconscious where she belongs.

Why do I suddenly feel an indescribable emptiness deep within myself?

Does anyone else actually talk to their characters? Like, literally ask them what they plan on doing when they can't think of where to take the story? Because I'm having difficulty making Tamamo go away after she answers my question. She's asking for an alternate ending for her story arc in my fanfiction... I'm finding it difficult not to listen to her...
