So I've been getting back into the wrestling thing. I grew up watching the WCW/WWF feud before the WCW imploded under the weight of its own piss poor management and too many bloated egos. (Reading up on Hogan and Nash's corruption is almost cartoonishly evil.) I stuck around for a little while after that, latching on to guys like Mankind and The Rock, but tryhard, "edgy" WWF just wasn't my style. You can imagine my culture shock tuning back in years later to the kid-friendly WWE. ...

I posted in the Fanfic Crossover Thread (or Idea Thread?) that Fate/Grand Order isn't even out yet, and I'm brainstorming ways to cross it with other Fate properties. At the time, I was cooking up something about Rin and Shirou at the Clock Tower getting pulled into Chaldea as Zouken or Darnic show up as a surprise benefactor and not-so-surprise antagonist. Then I decided that was a weak idea and got the ball rolling on this front instead.

So Arashi posted this cool thing. It's one of those hooks that came to mind that he doesn't seem to have any real intent on writing, but it struck me as soon as I saw it. I've spent a lot of time picking his brain about his discarded concepts and even considered taking a crack at a few of them, with this one being the second most enduring (the first being that pitch for a Third Grail War story but you should know that by now, given my incessant chatter ...

I generally try not to drink if I can help it. I came to college at 17 and didn't touch alcohol until I was 19, at which point I drank all of my friends under the table with a bunch of flavored Schnapps because we were underage and it was the best we could do. I never really learned how to have a few drinks responsibly, as the college setting gives rise to drinking games and drinking contests and just generally trying to ingest as much booze as possible before you drop.

I've been on another DC Comics kick lately.

I have Earth One: Teen Titans and some issues of Earth 2 on the way from Amazon, and I caught up on most of the DC animated movies. The Crisis on Two Earths, Under the Red Hood, Justice League: Doom, Superman vs. The Elite and Batman/Superman: Public Enemies were at least entertaining even when they're not "good."

Under the Red Hood is far and away DC's best animated movie, owing to a great mix of action, intrigue ...
