Just because the fight wasn't exactly how you wanted it to be doesn't make it bad.
That's why light novels and books in general are better in some instances, since you can picture the perfect fight happening in your head.
Still, I really liked that fight.

if there is one thing I hated the most about the english dub, it was Sam Riegel's Shirou.

I personally thought Yuri Lowenthal or Brad Swaile could've done a better job. With my opinion shifted over to Brad since I love him like a fat kid loves chocolate.

You should definitely check out the UBW movie dub. Sam Riegel does Shirou extremely well, and I think he even captures more of Shirou's personality than Noriaki Sugiyama does.
