Yeah, I'm going to try to ride this out for a few more days before talking to him. He's been a little stressed since he's going back to school to become a nurse so I don't really want to make him angry again.

I just hope he hasn't smashed my computer.

I clearly have too much time on my hands.

Honestly, all I can say is just ride it out. It sort of sounds like for some reason your dad was looking for a reason to blow up at you, and saying you didn't want to run did it, so at this point all you can really do is endure it until he calms down.

Unless you want to try and ask him about it, but considering how he's acting I'd be a little hesitant about it myself.

I also tend to cling onto finished chapters now, just to make sure that things still fits after not looking at it for a few days. And remember Hero, I eventually had to rewrite 6 chapters :P

It also gives me a good excuse to write lemon snippets to pass the time :P ( although the 10k limit on blog entries is killing me :P)

Sorry to hear, Heroslayer, but I'm glad at least that you're thinking about it. That shows that you want to do your best and you care about taking action towards doing that. ^^

I posted it and felt like, "Meh, a half finished draft wouldn't be that bad... right?", but I can't really look at that chapter without remembering that, well, it's not really written the way I want it.

What Darples said. Wouldn't it be better to revise first, then post?

My question would be, "If you were dissatisfied with it, why did you release it at all?"

you oughta see some of the conventions held here in singapore... especially the electronics fairs.... close to several hundred thousand people squeezing into a six convention halls worth of booths..

You know, except for the fire alarm. That is pretty rare. (However it's happened a time or two that I've gone to Anime North.)

As for Anime Cons go, start small and then work your way up. ACEN is one of the largest anime cons in North America. If you're wanting to pop your con cherry find a smaller local con and then work your way up. Also I'd suggest saving cash months in before hand and have a set amount to spend in the dealers' room/artist alley. Once that runs out, don't buy anymore.

Myself, I love cons. Last con I went to I gave three panels, one with Roadbuster about Type-Moon, one on writing, and one on giving lemons that was left with standing room only. The room was completely filled up. It was like the number of people that went to the Type-Moon and writing panel combined then doubled. So next year when I do that panel, I'm asking for a bigger room.

Anyways, everything that happened to you was par for the course, as far as anime cons are concerned.

Assistant community manager for a site that would no doubt have plenty of readers among the general attendeeship at cons.

Bah, you need to work those legs a little more. Your legs shouldn't be going numb after just a day of walking around. Besides, it's decent exercise. As for spending money like crazy... I somehow managed to avoid that, but mostly because I couldn't find a Kyubey hat or any decent Saki stuff, and that's all I really wanted. And the fire alarm thing is totally not normal.

The fire alarm thing seems to be an anomaly, but Yes to the leg numbness and fruitless attempts to hold onto one's money. Man, only one day on top of that? I guess it's a good thing you didn't get a weekend pass, huh?

Me, I just made a habit of calling everything I do "crap" and if others deem it otherwise, then I've succeeded.

But I think if you did truly awful, people would let you know. If other people are saying you're doing great and you're overall getting more good than bad feedback, you're probably just hypercriticizing yourself. Just pay attention to things people think are wrong and you'll do fine.

I am proud of this story because well, I'm actually getting through it and all of my other stories were much much worse, to the point where I am probably going to delete them from the interweb and spare the eyes of the future readers.

I guess I'm going to finish this arc and than go over it and re haul the entire thing similar to what fraggle is doing. The first chapter needs a lot of work and there are a lot of sections that need some editing to make it flow better.

If you guys have any real problem with the story, I would love for you to tell me it here.
