FUCKING PLANES ARE SO COOL! HOW AWESOME WERE THOSE PLANES MAN?!
I loved it, but that's because it's about a subject I've always held dear.
It didn't really whitewash anything, and it didn't really touch on WW2 that much either. Lots of buildup to the war, then the movie kinda ends. It's not even really that anti-military. At least, not compared to something like Mononoke. It's a love letter though, and it's good at what it did. I thought so at least.

Funny, considering it got flak in Japan for showing them in bad light. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I saw it dubbed with the UW anime club on Saturday. The boss is voiced by Martin Short, and it is amazing. Basically same old Miyazaki stuff: beautiful nature scenes, anti-military, little sister looks like Chihiro, the usual.
I haven't actually seen a lot of Miyazaki's works. I'll have to check this out!
Spirited Away.
Has animu ever win Oscar?
Lost out to Frozen.
Still gonna lose out to Frozen.
A review worth waiting for, I say. Originally Posted by Elf . . . I love Beauty and the Beast. As someone who concurs with this I am obligated to take it out back with Lilith in the parking lot.
So this whole time Elsa just needed to fuck her sister to control her powers. That's what I'm getting out of this. I love you lilith.
