How do the SMS-sent 'free iPad giveaway' scams work? I've received these messages a few times and always ignored them, but I'm curious as to how the scammers get money from it.


Most of us who have received these SMSes know it usually goes something along the lines of this:


“Apple has selected your # to win a FREE iPad3. Click on cd.9c9.co/=XXXXXXXXXX(my phone number) and enter your winning code XXXXX(some code) to claim your FREE iPad3 within 24hrs.”

Quick question.

I have one that doesn't send me a monthly statement and isn't connected to a bank book. Upon contemplating the safety of my cash today, I was wondering how one would go about proving fraud/unauthorised transactions if my money suddenly vanished?

According to IFLS's page, this is a child's skull layout. I'm curious; does this setup exacerbate jaw injuries in any way? It sure looks like it would.


Say a kid falls over and snaps their jaw against something hard, do all the adult teeth that are in the way (which haven't come out yet) get fucked up as well?

Say Jim is falling from a typical balcony (see image; he's too short and thus can't exert any forward momentum to make himself land safely in the balcony below, so he has to rely on his arm strength to catch the railing below him if he falls). Also, there is an obstacle on the floor of the balcony he is holding onto, so he can't pull himself up directly.

How much force must Jim's shoulders and fingers be able to withstand to catch a balcony one floor below the one he is falling from? ...
