  2. Made a forum post regarding fanfiction on TVTropes

    by , April 10th, 2014 at 11:00 PM (Tales of a Role Player who loves F/sN and Sci-Fi (among other things))
    If anyone wants context, well, TVTropes has a thread on its forums where people talk about what they feel is important in fanfiction. Thankfully, I made some time in my day to write this post (granted, not a lot of time): http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php...4700&page=1#22

    This was the main reason why I wrote this blog entry. I wanted to show you guys what was going on in my head at the time.

  3. I think I'm beginning to understand the appeal of that Gilgamesh minigame

    Remember when Fate/extra CCC first came out, and its website released a minigame where Gilgamesh basically verbally and physically abuses you? I originally did not find any appeal in that and, in fact, thought people who were into that needed help, but now, after some... gentle guidance from Queen Aldra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tPkVMqVFvA I'm beginning to understand this way of thinking.

    Feelings of aggression after playing video games are more likely to be linked to gameplay mechanics rather than violent content, a study suggests. Andrew Przybylski at the University of Oxford has been studying games for a long time, using the model of self determination theory as a framework of engagement, and his most recent work has found that it is mechanics that cause aggression, not violent content - that a frustrated need for mastery is responsible
