Darn it Viacom! Direct TV removes 25 channesl from their programming!

Direct TV had to remove 25 channels including Nickelodeon, VH1, MTV, Spike, BET, and Comedy Central, all due to Viacom.

Viacom wants consumers to pay 30% more money, like just pennies a day, which should estimate all the paying up to one billion more. They refused to listen to Direct TV negotiations so they forced them to take them off last night.

*sighs* I'm upset, but not that much. It is chore to pay for digital cable bills, and it does suck when for some reason people have to pay more than what they usually paid. Viacom just wants more money. Nothing surprising and it cost me the channels I usually watch.

    Just watch NatGeo or History Channel, you'll be fine.

    actually comedy central is almost all I ever watch, if it suddenly got pulled from my cable company I would throw a bitch fit

    Only Comedy Central is a big loss from that list. Spike is mildly arguable as well, but not really.

    I mostly only use my TV anymore to watch History, Discovery, Animal Planet, and occasionally TruTV.

    Oh, and TNT. Gotta have my Rizzoli & Isles.

    My mom and dad still, I never bothered since we've had some of the channels we've always watched, now at least some of that is gone.

    Nick too, arguably. If they're re-running Avatar Parts 1 and 2. And Spike's great if you want to marathon Star Wars. Seeing as they do fucking Star Wars marathons every month.

    Pretty sure you can get these through Netflix or something by now.

    Well, if they are so determined to rip people off, then just get bittorrent and get it for nothing.

    Maybe one day the TV and movie companies will learn that charging rip-off prices for data that can be easily copied doesn't work, and that attempting to prevent that by adding anti-features to their products and, even, to entirely unrelated products doesn't work either.
