  1. To Know the Unknown, Part 1: Ammonium is a Dumb Bitch

    We had our practical test on cations yesterday, and we were asked to find an unknown cation. No big deal, I said. It'll be easy, I said.

    I was wrong.

    First off, since our instructor told us that ammonium gives out the smell of pee, I immediately tried to smell the solution, but it didn't smell like anything. So I dropped some hydrochloric acid in there, and nothing. My shoulders drooped slightly. I didn't get a group I ion. So I added some thioacetamide to that and put ...

  3. Zyuuden Sentai Kyoryuger

    With the premiere of Power Rangers Dino Charge, I decided to rewatch this series, and I gotta say this is probably one of best Sentai Series I've seen. The chemistry of the cast and the zany antics probably has a lot to do with it.

    Plus the auxiliary rangers are really cool. Just wish they had more screen time. Kyoryu Silver was the best out of them, but that's just probably because of Torin being cool.

    After watching a few eps of Dino Charge, I have to admit it's being ...
  4. Fuck Egypt

    by , February 28th, 2015 at 08:41 AM (The Vague Rants of Vagrant)
    The sites and the sights are nice, the people are awful. The worst place I and my travel partner have been to, I actively recommend not going to Egypt. It's not worth the hassles you get constantly, every moment of every day because you're not Egyptian and thus obviously shit money.

    Fuck this place. Childhood dreams of Egypt utterly crushed. There's no romance or mystique or joy in going to the amazing temples, just this dread knowledge that you will be hassled every single step of ...
  5. Here lies my beloved hard drive; may it rest in peace ;_;

    Like the title says, my hard drive died an early death.

    She was starting to flag, though I didn't know why at first. Then I got a warning; the hard drive was going to fail, it said. I wanted it to be a virus, a simple problem I could get rid of. But alas, it was not, and after another warning I took her to the local computer center and put*her down myself.

    So here I sit, reimaging a new hard drive and lamenting find times past. Suffice it to say that my obligations ...
